Penn State men’s hockey leans on goaltender Eamon McAdam in Friday night win over Minnesota

With a little over a minute left in overtime, Rochester, Minn. native Vince Pedrie took a pass from Tommy Olczyk and glided along the blue line.

The freshman defenseman fired a shot that snuck through all of the bodies in front of the net and the legs of Minnesota goaltender Eric Schierhorn to give No. 15 Penn State its second win in nine tries against Pedrie’s hometown team.

The Nittany Lions (13-3-3, 3-0-0 Big Ten) defeated the Golden Gophers (8-10-1, 3-2-0 Big Ten) 3-2 in overtime Friday night at the Pegula Ice Arena.
