It didn’t matter who Michigan State coach Tom Anastos stuck between the pipes.
On Friday night, Penn State forced Anastos to take Jake Hildebrand out of the game after 40 minutes. Hildebrand, who’s struggled through 15 games to regain the form that helped him capture the Big Ten Conference goaltender of the year last season, gave up four goals on 30 shots.
On Saturday, it took just 20 minutes for Anastos to pull Ed Minney from his first collegiate start after the sophomore gave up three goals on 10 shots in the first period.

The Nittany Lions defeated the Spartans 6-1 on Saturday to complete the weekend series sweep.
