After Penn State’s victory over Canisius last night, the team, alongside friends and family, gathered at the end of the arena to honor a pivotal senior class.

A testament to the class, senior night usually takes place later in the season. This group of seniors requested the ceremony be moved earlier in the campaign so that they could have a heavier presence in THON for their final year.

“They’re extremely passionate about THON,” Gadowsky said. “One of the legacies of this class is the unbelievable job they’ve done in the community.”

Gadowsky emphasizes that the story of this senior class goes further than the play on the ice, but they left an impact on team culture and State College as a whole, forming charitable events such as the sled hockey classic.
