As the Nittany Lions entered the final month of the regular season, head coach Guy Gadowsky emphasized the need for his squad to refocus and play their best hockey over the course of the team’s final eight games.
A key component for this renewed focus came after Friday night's loss when the team held a players-only meeting to address some internal issues.
According to Gadowsky, the team's performance on Friday night wasn’t up to par, despite getting strong goaltending. He noted that his squad had been playing strong team defense in recent stretches when their starting goalie, Arsenii Sergeev, was out, but they seemed to become too reliant on Sergeev when he returned to the crease.
