Just two days after Matthew Skoff signed a deal with the Reading Royals, Eamon McAdam is following in his former teammate's footsteps.
The team announced Wednesday that McAdam has decided to forgo his senior season, instead signing a three-year, entry-level deal with the New York Islanders.
The Islanders drafted McAdam in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
McAdam will join the Islanders' AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, on an amateur tryout basis for the remainder of the 2015-16 season before his deal kicks in next season.
