After recording a conference-high five points in Penn State's series sweep of Arizona State, sophomore winger Brandon Biro was named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week.
Biro scored a goal in both games of the series, marking the first time he has found the back of the net in consecutive games, and on Friday tied a career high with three points.
His output moved him into a tie with winger Denis Smirnov for second on the team in points at 11.
This is the first weekly honor of Biro's career. Smirnov is the only other Nittany Lion to receive a Big Ten weekly accolade the season, as he was named the Second Star for the week of Oct.
