A night after carrying No. 6 Penn State to a 3-3 tie, one of the best lines in the nation did it again but this time the Nittany Lions were not able to close out the game.
Penn State carried a 5-4 lead into the final 20 minutes but Wisconsin scored three in the final frame to upset the Nittany Lions 8-5.
Wisconsin was 0-6 this season when trailing after two periods but on Saturday the Badgers found some third period magic.
Wisconsin played the first 1:18 of the third period on the power play, but the Penn State defense was able to keep the Badgers off the scoreboard and maintain their slim lead.
