After taking home the Big Ten Championship crown last year, No. 9 Penn State scored a 427.150 and finished this year’s contest in fourth place, trailing behind Minnesota, Illinois and 2016 champs Ohio State.
Among the Nittany Lions, there were several standout performances, including six individual top-five scores in the events and five Lions qualifying for the individual finals Saturday night.
Leading the qualifiers is senior Trevor Howard, who is the only one of the group who will compete in multiple event finals — in the floor, vault and high bar. Along with him are seniors Dominic DiFulvio and Alexis Torres, junior Leroy Clarke, Jr.
