Penn State captured the Athletic Director’s Trophy in dominant fashion yesterday, defeating West Virginia by 15 strokes to claim the hardware.
Charles Huntzinger led the team shooting 3-under for the tournament, building off his big fall semester.
After a 40-year hiatus, the trophy was reinstated as a competition last year and the Nittany Lions have now conquered the Mountaineers in back-to-back seasons.
Cole Miller and Daniel Martinez provided strong support alongside Hutzinger, where they were each able to shoot 1-over for the tournament, good for second behind Huntzinger.
In fact with the exception of Alec Bard, every Nittany Lion finished inside the top-5, a clear indication of the dominant effort they had over the weekend.
