Penn State men's golf season ends with missed cut at NCAA Championships

Needing nothing short of miracle to make the 54-hole cut at the NCAA Championship, Penn State started off solid in Sunday's third round, but it couldn't keep the momentum going. The Nittany Lions finished with a 8-over 296 and missed the cut at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Where did Penn State finish: A three-day total of 27-over-par left the Nittany Lions in a tie for 27th place with Lipscomb, 20 shots above the cut line of 7-over. Coming into the day at 18-over, The Nittany Lions would have needed a 278 to make the cut, which would have been the low round of the day by two strokes.
