Penn State will return to the Palestra in Philadelphia on Jan. 7, 2017 to face its conference rival, Michigan State.
Nittany Lions coach Patrick Chambers announced the game on Monday. The rest of the Big Ten schedule has yet to be released.
The Lions beat Drexel, 63-57, in their last trip to the Palestra on Dec. 19, 2015. This winter’s game will be considered home court for the Lions.
The Lions lost to the Spartans, 88-57, in East Lansing, Mich. in their last meeting on Feb. 28, 2016.
Chambers said in a statement that the Lions had a “vision” of playing a conference game at the Palestra.
