Binghamton didn’t have much breathing room in coach Mike Rhoades’ suffocating defensive scheme.
After enduring a “sloppy offensive game” against Lafayette on Oct. 25, Rhoades saw his squad dominate the turnover battle, forcing 21 turnovers while only giving the ball away five times in its 108-66 win on Monday night.
“Taking care of the basketball has to be at a high, high level for us,” Rhoades said last Thursday during a media availability. “I think we could turn people over. So we want that to be an advantage in our approach.”
On Monday night against the Bearcats, Rhoades saw immediate success in the turnover department.
