After showing promise in defeat at No. 4 Maryland on Wednesday, Penn State turned in one of their worst performances of the season.
The Nittany Lions (9-6, 0-2 Big Ten) fell to Michigan (12-3, 2-0), 79-56, at Crisler Arena on Saturday. Lions forward Brandon Taylor led the game with 18 points and eclipsed 1,000 total points in his college career.
The Wolverines blew past the Lions in terms of shooting percentage, as Michigan's 56 percent accuracy from beyond the arc fueled their rout. Penn State shot 22.2 percent from the same range and hit just over one-third of all their shots.
