Penn State men’s basketball shakes off slow shooting start to defeat Penn

With one last rehearsal before the Big Ten schedule starts up again, Penn State had a chance to carry some momentum into the new year.

While their shooting was off to begin the game to find themselves in a tight battle at the start of the second half, the Nittany Lions shook off their slow start to pull away from Penn in the second half for a 86-66 victory inside the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday.

Yanic Konan Niederhauser got the Penn State offense rolling to begin the game, cashing in two buckets from the paint. However, the Nittany Lions couldn’t turn the 7-footer’s hot start into any momentum, missing their next seven shots from the field to keep Penn in the game.
