Penn State plays its first home game on Saturday, a return home for most, the making of a new home for some and a long-awaited homecoming for one.
Dan Earl, a two-time All-Big Ten selection as a Nittany Lion point guard, will make his debut as head coach of VMI in the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday. He hasn’t stood on the court for a game in the BJC in over four years.
“I know Danny very well,” Lions coach Pat Chambers said. “He’s got a bunch of new guys, and he might put his own imprint on it, rather than playing the way they played here or at Navy.
