Penn State has won three out of its last four games, two of which came against ranked opponents.
The Nittany Lions’ (14-13, 5-9 Big Ten) suffered their lone loss in that span at the hand of Nebraska. After being outscored by 15 points in the second half, coach Patrick Chambers’ team fell to the Cornhuskers, 70-54.
The Lions and the Cornhuskers (14-14, 6-9 Big Ten) will meet again at 7 p.m. Thursday, this time at the Bryce Jordan Center, in what has turned out to be an important game for each squad, as they both have their eyes on a first-round bye in the Big Ten tournament.
