Penn State men’s basketball freshman players continue to impacts early in 2024-25 season

Coach Mike Rhoades goes deep into his rotation, but he still finds production even from his freshmen players.

Dominick Stewart, Jahvin Carter and Hudson Ward all made impacts during Penn State’s commanding 99-51 victory over Coppin State on Saturday in the Bryce Jordan Center, allowing Rhoades to be confident about his young players.

“I thought they were great,” Rhoades said. “You saw even more of Dom and (Jahvin) and Hudson and those guys are getting better and better.”

In a game that reached garbage time relatively quickly, each freshman saw more than their typical minutes, with Stewart garnering a career-high 19, Carter earning 11 and Ward seeing a career-high five minutes of action.
