In their early season contests, the Nittany Lions stormed past Binghamton, UMBC, St. Francis and Purdue Fort Wayne.
The blue and white hit the century mark in three of those games to record a stat it had seen just once before– putting up 100 points or more in three games in the same season– a stat that hasn’t been seen in State College since 1954.
In yet another blowout for Penn State, it earned a 99-51 victory over Coppin State– just one point shy of recording 100-plus points in four games in the same season for the first time in program history.
