Penn State men's basketball beats Rutgers for its second straight Big Ten win

Looking to play off its momentum after beating No. 4 Iowa, Penn State defeated Rutgers 70-58 in Piscataway, New Jersey on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (14-13, 5-9 Big Ten) jumped out to an early 12-4 lead in the first five minutes of the game thanks to strong shooting.

The Scarlett Knights (6-21, 0-14 Big Ten) responded with two buckets from D.J. Foreman before going ice cold.

In the next eight-plus minutes, the Lions pulled ahead by as many as 15 points, as the Knights failed to score once in that span.
