Penn State loses 10th straight game, falls to Rutgers in season finale

PISCATAWAY, NJ. - After falling to Purdue on Thursday during Senior Day, Penn State was eliminated from Big Ten Tournament contention with one game left in the season.

The Lady Lions’ hopes to end the season on a high note were spoiled once again by Rutgers, who won 75-70.

The blue and white was without two of its three leading scorers in Gracie Merkle and Moriah Murray, and this was evident in the team’s loss.

Rutgers opened with three straight baskets, including a 3-pointer to start the game. However, the Lady Lions kept it close with a Gabby Elliott 3-pointer and a pair of free throws from Grace Hall.
