Blake Gillikin had to pay his way to visit Penn State for the second time in as many weeks. That's the way unofficial visits work. But as his recruitment inches closer to an end, it was an expense he and his family were willing to take.
The Atlanta, Ga., punter and recently offered junior had his recruitment move to the next level when the Lions verbally extended a scholarship offer last Friday. The specialist saw plenty during his visit, but flew to State College from Georgia Sunday, and will stay into Monday, for a specific reason.
"This visit I'm actually taking my mom," Gillikin wrote in a message to PennLive Sunday.
