It is sometimes easy to forget that two years ago Penn State was a program that finished in the bottom-five of the final NCAA hockey rankings. Entering last season the question surrounding the team was goal scoring. The answer revealed itself as the season unfolded and PSU finished as the 12th highest-scoring team in the country. This year the challenge appeared to be replacing the scoring production lost to graduation and the loss of Casey Bailey to the NHL.
Early in the season the answer to that question seems to have been found. The scoring will come by committee and also the incoming freshmen can contribute more than anyone could have imagined.
