For 20 minutes, it appeared a packed Pegula Ice Arena was going to be the setting for a major upset and huge night for the Penn State hockey team.

But No. 2 Notre Dame withstood the early onslaught and rallied to beat the No. 17 Nittany Lions 5-3 Friday night behind a rowdy White Out crowd.

Bo Brauer scored twice, including the go-ahead goal early in the third, to lead the Fighting Irish (21-5-1, 15-2 Big Ten). Dawson Cook also scored in the third and Andrew Oglevie, Andrew Peeke had the other scores.

Chase Berger scored twice, Alec Marsh once and Andrew Sturtz assisted on all of the goals for Penn State (13-12-4, 6-9-4-2), which is now winless in its last six games.
