Penn State rising senior golfer Cole Miller carded a two-day total of 1-over 143 in the British Amateur Championship — but he missed the cut by two strokes Tuesday after tying for 90th and watching the top 77 move on.
Miller shot a 1-over 71 Monday at Royal St. George’s Golf Club and followed that up with an even-par 72 at the Princes Golf Club on Tuesday. He competed among 286 players.
Miller’s two-day total of 143 ranked as the fourth-lowest among the 13 Americans in the field.
The British Amateur Championship is regarded as one of the world’s top amateur golf tournaments.
