Penn State freshman Tariq Castro-Fields a 'really special' player; Lions recruit 'never takes a play off,' and more

Today's Penn State football news headlines feature a closer look at freshman cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields and the never-quit style of 2018 recruit Bryce Effner.

Castro-Fields is one of four freshmen mentioned by coach James Franklin as being green-lit to play this season, along with defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos, offensive lineman Mike Miranda and cornerback Lamont Wade.
