UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Freshman linebacker Daiquan Kelly was dismissed from the Penn State football team for an unspecified “violation of team rules,” Penn State announced Saturday.
Kelly, a 4-star prospect from Union City, N.J., enrolled at Penn State along with the majority of the freshman class in late June where he was on scholarship. A hybrid linebacker who was listed on Penn State’s fall camp roster at 6-foot-2, 194 pounds, Kelly released a statement Saturday on his personal Twitter account.
“I love the staff and teammates at Penn State and always will,” his statement read. “That is family!
