The Kappa Delta Rho fraternity chapter on Penn State University's main campus has been stripped of recognition for three years over incidents including reports of a private Facebook page with photos of nude, semi-nude and incapacitated female students.
The decision, announced by Penn State this evening, effectively overturns an earlier ruling by the Interfraternity Council (IFC), which oversees campus Greek organizations and had decided earlier not to pull the group's recognition as a student organization.
The university, in a statement, said it acted due to “a persistent series of deeply troubling activities.
