Ahead of the 2019 college football season, Penn State defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos is already gaining some early recognition. Gross-Matos, who enjoyed a breakout season a year ago as a sophomore, has been named to the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.

The Lott IMPACT Trophy is given to the top defensive player in college football who the biggest impact for his team both on and off the field. The award is named after NFL Hall of Fame defensive back, Ronnie Lott.
