In the ever-growing trend of college basketball stars turned pro football players, Penn State’s Ross Travis stands out as a success story entering his fifth year in the NFL. Travis played and started for the majority of his four years on the Nittany Lions’ basketball squad. Although the 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward played a significant role on the hardwood, he made the decision to move his athletic career over to football.
Travis entered the 2015 NFL Draft despite not playing football for nearly a decade, dating back to his high school days. However, his ability to climb up and pull down rebounds and throw down hammering dunks obviously intrigued NFL teams (Video Courtesy of Ross Travis).
