As the National Football Foundation’s College Hall of Fame takes a step toward inducting its class of 2017, three former Penn State players and first-team All-Americans are featured on the ballot.
The three players –– quarterback Kerry Collins, tailback D.J. Dozier and offensive guard Steve Wisniewski –– all had prolific careers in Happy Valley.
With Collins under center in 1994, the Lions led the nation in scoring with 47.8 points per game and in total offense with 520.2 yards per game. During that record breaking season, the Lions' offense broke 14 school season records and seven Big Ten single season records.
