With each major departure off Penn State football’s offense last spring, concerns grew about how the team would answer. It did as only a talented team could, as a group. Instead of trying to use one playmaker to solve the tight end gap, it used a trio of tough tight ends.
First, Jonathan Holland managed to pick up a few catches in the first two games and added three more receptions against Illinois. Yes, he had the early giveaway on the fumble, but he’s continued to prove a talented target.
He’s caught seven passes for 114 yards.
