Penn State Football: Shareef Miller named to another preseason watch list

Junior defensive end Shareef Miller figures to be an important player for Penn State football in 2018. He had a breakout campaign last season and has high expectations heading into this season. Those expectations have Miller’s name landing on preseason watch lists for awards.

Already a candidate for the Bednarik Award (National Defensive Player of the Year), Miller is also on the list for the Ted Hendricks Award. The Hendricks Award is given each year to the nation’s top defensive end.

Miller has two years of experience playing for the Nittany Lions. He played in 14 games as a redshirt freshman in 2016 and appeared in 13 games, making 12 starts a season ago.
