This season hasn’t gone the way Saquon Barkley would’ve wanted down the stretch. The junior stud running back was expected to win the Heisman and wow NFL scouts everywhere. He accomplished one of those two and unfortunately for Penn State football fans it won’t be the former of the two.
With the way Baker Mayfield has played and Barkley has struggled, it seems like it’s a one-horse race. Although that seems like a tough reality, no one around Penn State should fret. Barkley has created a legacy that doesn’t need the Heisman Trophy to validate it.
