Penn State football: Revisit Ol' Huck 'n Buck vintage-style photos from before the 2016 season began

In the early glory days of college football, before face masks and the proliferation of the forward pass, photographers struggled with capturing the stars of the day. Photographic technology was still in its infancy. Autofocus, telephoto lenses and color film hadn't been invented.

You might remember these photos from August; revisit them now that the Lions have traveled from a team with hope on the horizon to one that has clinched a Big Ten title and trip to the Rose Bowl.

Enter Jim Laughead, a zany photographer from Texas, who developed a style of photography coined "Ol' Huck 'N Buck.
