The “Wild Dogs,” the affectionate name given to Penn State’s defensive line by assistant coach Sean Spencer, seem to be set for the foreseeable future. With talented players already returning for the 2018 season, the incoming freshman class is also stocked full of defensive linemen. One of those is Cincinnati, Ohio native Aeneas Hawkins.
Hawkins was rated as a three or four-star prospect, depending on the recruiting service.
He starred at Archbishop Moeller High School, proving to be a disruptive force to opposing offenses. Hawkins’ impressive work at the high school level earned him an impressive list of offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame.
