Penn State has now lost five players in a matter of a few days. Running back Akeel Lynch announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he would be transferring from the school after he graduates this spring. He’ll have a fifth year of eligibility remaining and as a graduate transfer, won’t have to sit out wherever he goes.
Lynch played three seasons for the Nittany Lions after receiving a redshirt for the 2012 season. He entered 2013 season behind Zach Zwinak and Bill Belton and saw limited action. However, though he got just 60 carries he was effective, running for 358 yards and a touchdown.
