Penn State was ranked No. 9 in the preseason Coaches’ Poll on Monday. The Nittany Lions made their second straight appearance in the preseason top 10, following a No. 7 ranking ahead of the 2023 season.
Of Penn State’s 2024 opponents, only two were ranked. Ohio State came in at No. 2, and USC is No. 23. Additionally, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin all received votes.
Three other Big Ten teams were ranked, including Oregon (No. 3), Michigan (No. 8), and Iowa (No. 25).
