For the first time since 1994, Penn State football will play a season opener against a conference foe.
The Nittany Lions are set to face Wisconsin in Madison on opening weekend of the 2021 season, one surprising reveal when the Big Ten released its 2020 and 2021 conference schedules Tuesday afternoon.
It’s just the third time Penn State will face a Big Ten opponent in an opener as a conference member. The Nittany Lions opened with Minnesota in 1993 and 1994.
