Penn State Football: Offseason moves means it’s Godwin’s time to shine

It didn’t take Chris Godwin long to get his opportunity to make an impact. Entering his third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Godwin is now slated to start after two of the team’s top four receivers left in the offseason. A disgruntled DeSean Jackson returned to Philadelphia via trade, and Adam Humphries signed with the Tennessee Titans. With almost 200 targets headed out of town, the former Penn State football star receiver is due for a huge 2019 season.

The Bucs obviously allowed both players to leave, because of their high trust in Godwin’s continued development. Despite sitting behind a loaded receiving corp, he put up solid numbers.
