Joe Moorhead — the architect of Penn State’s high-flying, Big Ten title-winning offense — is reportedly leaving Happy Valley.
Moorhead is set to become Mississippi State’s next head coach, according to a report by college football insider Brett McMurphy and confirmed by ESPN’s Mark Schlabach. In McMurphy’s report, he states that “the deal is expected to be completed in the next few days.”
USA Today Sports’ Dan Wolken reported Monday night that Moorhead — Penn State’s offensive coordinator the past two seasons — was a “high priority” candidate to replace former Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen, who left for Florida’s vacancy on Sunday.
