Last season, the Penn State defense lost one of its most important and crucial players on defense in the first game of the season when middle linebacker Nyeem Wartman-White suffered a season-ending injury. In a year he was expected to become the leader of the defense on the field, Wartman-White had to be a leader off the field for the Nittany Lions. This season, he’ll get another shot to be an impactful player for the Nittany Lions.
In 2014, Wartman-White recorded 74 tackles which was second on the team behind senior Mike Hull, who recorded 138 tackles. Entering last season, Wartman-White was part off a linebacking core that featured sever potential breakout players for the Nittany Lions in 2015.
