It’s a quite day around Penn State football but there are two important notes to pass along this Monday afternoon.
Barkley Named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week:
Penn State true freshman Saquon Barkley made his mark on Saturday during the Nittany Lions 27-13 win against the University of Buffalo. The Lehigh Valley native rushed for 115-yards and a touchdown on 12 carries on Saturday, being the spark plug to the Penn State offense in the second half. His performance arguably could make him Penn State’s new starting running back going forward.
The true freshman also had one for the highlight reel against Buffalo when he hurdled a Bull defender, which earned him the 10th spot on ESPN’s Top Ten Plays of the Day.
