Penn State Football: Nittany Lions Dominate Rutgers 28-3

The first ever “Stripe Out” at Penn State was a success, as the blue and white Beaver Stadium crowd looked great under the lights. As for the action on the field, things again started slow for the Nittany Lions. However, a switch went off in the second quarter and Penn State exploded on the ground. The Nittany Lions racked up 326 rushing yards en route to the dominating victory.

It was much of the same to start the game. The defense played great and the offense looked good at times before sputtering. The Nittany Lions finally broke through early in the second quarter when the offense orchestrated a 12-play, 80-yard drive that ended with a Jet Sweep touchdown run by DeAndre Thompkins, his first collegiate score.
