Penn State Football: Nick Scott 2017 season rewind

Safety Nick Scott made his transition from offense to defense quickly, and Penn State football fans should be thankful for it. After starting his career at running back, the multi-talented Scott created an impact on defense with his big hits. Both starting safeties graduated in Marcus Allen and Troy Apke, so his rise helps solidify the secondary.

First, Scott’s year won’t jump off the page. His stats don’t stand out amongst anyone, but he also wasn’t a starter. Even though Scott played behind two studs, he still managed to record 32 tackles and return a fumble for a touchdown.
