Despite Penn State football quarterback Trace McSorley’s draft profile saying that he’d likely go undrafted, one NFL Draft analyst believes the program’s all-time leading passer is going late in the 2019 Draft. NFL.com writer Chad Reuter’s seven-round mock draft was released Friday and it had McSorley getting selected by the Houston Texans with the 196th overall pick in the sixth round.
The selection would make sense for a few reasons. First, the Texans and former Penn State football head coach Bill O’Brien had an interest in him since March. The Houston Chronicle stated that the Texans met with him at the NFL combine after meeting with him at the Senior Bowl as well.
