Penn State Football: Lamont Wade a breakout candidate in 2019

Lamont Wade has had a slow and somewhat odd start to his Penn State football career. However, the junior will have a big opportunity in 2019 and could finally live up to the high expectations that followed him out of high school.

Through his first two seasons in Happy Valley he has racked up 49 total tackles, including a sack. He’s spent his time with the Nittany Lions as a reserve in the defensive backfield, but 2019 could bring bigger things for the junior.

Penn State has a need for a new starting safety this season after the departure of nick Scott, and Wade will be at the top of the list of replacements.
