With more preseason award watch lists being announced, more Penn State football players are being recognized ahead of the start of the 2018 season. The latest honor to include a Nittany Lion on its list is the Butkus Award.
Penn State senior linebacker Koa Farmer has been named as a player to watch this season.
The Butkus Award, given each year to the nation’s top collegiate linebacker, is named after Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus.
Paul Posluszny (2005) and LaVar Arrington (1999) are the only two Penn State players to win the Butkus Award in school history.
