With the start of the new season comes an opportunity for new players to step up and make an impact. Defensive tackle Judge Culpepper sat for a season as a redshirt freshman in 2018 and could be an “under the radar” name to keep an eye on in 2019.
Penn State saw a lot of roster turnover this year thanks to the departures of several players to the NFL. Most notably on the defensive line, defensive end Shareef Miller and Kevin Givens both decided to leave school early and become eligible for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Fortunately, Defensive line coach Sean Spencer has a stable of capable guys to fill in at both defensive tackle and defensive end.
