Despite losing all four starters in the secondary for the 2018 season, Penn State has several quality replacements ready to step in. One such player is someone who may have been forgotten, but will be a welcomed addition at cornerback. John Reid, who sat out the entire 2017 season due to a torn ACL, is ready to make a full return this season.
Reid had a very successful two years in Penn State’s secondary and was expected to be a key piece on defense heading into last season. Unfortunately, an injury in spring practice put him out for the season.
