Penn State Football added a veteran presence to the coaching staff Friday.
Penn State Football head coach James Franklin made it official, hiring long-time NFL offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains as an offensive analyst/consultant for the program.
Loggains in the latest former NFL coach with lengthy experience to join the staff in recent years. The most high profile consultant Franklin hired in the recent past being ex-New Orleans Saints head coach Jim Haslett in a similar role, back in 2015.
Loggains, 40, most recently served as the New York Jets’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Adam Gase the past two seasons, before being relieved of his duties earlier this offseason.
